Welcome to Mood Institute

You do not need to have every detail figured out before contacting Mood Institute. The first call is a practical starting point: explain what you are trying to arrange, ask what information is needed, and identify the next step. Onboarding helps organize registration, available coverage information, referrals, records, and first-appointment questions in a clear order.

A consultation request is how you ask for a consultation. It is not the same as registration, a records submission, a coverage decision, or an appointment confirmation. Complete the fields the consultation form requests, but do not upload medical records there. Keep health details out of Mood Guide and general contact fields.

The usual sequence is to begin registration, confirm which coverage information is needed, coordinate a referral or records request, follow up on missing items, and discuss the first appointment when the operational pieces are ready. Some steps may happen at the same time. For example, a referring office may send records while you complete registration.

Before you call, have your insurance card available, along with the names of current clinicians and any referral contact. You can say: 'I would like to request a consultation. What do you need from me to begin registration, and is there anything my current provider should send?' If records are needed, ask for the current secure records destination and how receipt will be confirmed.

If your question involves clinic care, research, or both, say that directly. Research questions can be routed to the research team, clinical questions to a clinician, and records or scheduling questions through onboarding. At the end of each conversation, ask: 'What is the next action, who owns it, and when should I check back?' That leaves you with one clear next step.

Keep a simple onboarding note after each contact: the date, the person or office reached, what was completed, what is still needed, and when to follow up. This is especially useful when a family member, referring office, and current provider are all helping with different pieces. Bringing that note to the next conversation lets you quickly confirm what has changed and focus on the remaining practical task.
